HEART OF MARY EXPERIENCES

A MEMORY OF MAYBELLE P. BRAZIEL, TEACHER

Maybelle Parker Braziel, during her 35 years of service as a teacher there of the seventh grade, left an impact on the lives of many generations of students.

Even earlier as a parent of a student, she was instrumental in providing a chemistry laboratory, among other advances, to assist students in their education.  Many of the students over those 35 years of her tenure as their teacher, still have fond memories of the days spent in her classroom.  May her memory live forever.

Marquell simon graduated from Most Pure Heart of Mary in 1998.  During my time at Heart of Mary I can credit my success to a number of dedicated teachers, Mrs. Williams & Sr. Shirley to name a few.  With the knowledge gained at HOM I graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in the Spring of ’02.  I will graduate from Alabama A & M University in the Spring of 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.  Upon graduation I will enter the United States Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant.  While in the Air Force I plan to further my Psychology Degree to specialize in personality disorders.

Most Pure Heart of Mary School was the cornerstone of which the foundation of my life was laid.  The many accomplishments of my life of over 8 decades were based on the stepping stones from that foundation that I walked on at Most Pure Heart of Mary School.  I will forever cherish the memories, of not only being a student, but of advancing to being a teacher of some generations to follow.  Most Pure Heart of Mary School’s influence will forever lead me in walking on the stepping stones of the rest of my life.
